We work with universities and veterinary schools to embed aquatic animal welfare into the education system across Africa and beyond.
Examples of this work:
- Co-developed a teaching module on fish welfare with Welttierschutz (WTS) as part of their Vets United programme, now being used by veterinary schools;
- Working with NALSAR University in India to adapt the Vets United fish module into a four-week online course suited to the local context;
- Collaborating with the World Organisation for Animal Health to integrate aquatic animal welfare into global veterinary curricula.
We have partnerships with several Egyptian universities, including Kafr El-Sheikh University, Cairo University, Alexandria University, Mansoura University and Suez University.
We also produce educational resources for children. Our colouring book for young children is available to purchase, and we are creating a suite of Swahili-language resources for children and schools in Kenya.
